With the announcement of the new iPhone 16 series last week, Apple introduced many new features and innovations. Among the most anticipated was Apple Intelligence, but it seems this expectation did not translate into demand for the iPhone 16 Pro models. According to reports, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max have not met the expected demand and are experiencing a decline compared to last year. Here are the details…
iPhone 16 Plus sees a 48% increase in pre-orders
It appears that expectations for this year’s iPhone models, which typically sell millions every year, have not been met. In fact, it was recently revealed that Apple’s stock prices began to drop after the event. It’s believed this decline occurred because people thought Apple did not bring significant innovations during the launch. One of the most notable details is that the iPhone 16 Plus received 48% more pre-orders compared to last year, while demand for the iPhone 16 Pro fell.
According to popular analyst Ming Chi-Kuo, demand for the 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max has been significantly lower than expected. On the other hand, demand for the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus has increased compared to last year’s models.
It seems that people are leaning toward the standard and Plus models, as Apple Intelligence and other features are also offered in these versions. The iPhone 16 series sold 37 million units in its first week, a 12.7% decrease in pre-orders compared to the iPhone 15 series.
Kuo’s iPhone 16 pre-order analysis shows the following trends:
- iPhone 16 Pro Max saw a 16% decrease compared to last year.
- iPhone 16 Pro saw a 27% decrease compared to last year.
- iPhone 16 Plus saw a 48% increase compared to last year.
- iPhone 16 saw a 10% increase compared to last year.
