Apple is preparing for a major innovation with the iPhone 16 Pro in 2024. In fact, it may have even gone a little overboard with the screen-to-body ratio in the new model. According to the latest report by Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models will have 33% thinner frames compared to the iPhone 15 Pro. So, is this really possible? Details in our news…
iPhone 16 Pro will have 33% thinner screen bezels than iPhone 15 Pro
According to Apple analyst Mark Gurman, whom we know for his reliable leaks, the screen size will increase without changing the overall dimensions of the phone too much. In other words, thanks to thinner frames, the iPhone 16 Pro will offer a 6.3-inch screen instead of a 6.1-inch one. There will be no visible change in the body size of the device.
Last year, Apple used “low-pressure injection molding” (LIPO) technology to reduce the bezel width on the iPhone 15 Pro from 2.2mm to 1.5mm. This year, it plans to make the bezels even thinner with a new technology called “Bezel Reduction Structure” (BRS).
BRS allows circuits and connections near the edges of the screen to be bent lower to save space. Although this technology caused heating problems in the first trials, Apple has solved these problems and is even ready to launch it with the iPhone 16 series.

The iPhone 16 Pro Max will have a 6.9-inch screen instead of a 6.7-inch screen. These models are likely to make a big splash in the technology world, especially with their screen-to-body ratio. If the claims are true, the iPhone 16 series could even take the title of “phones with the thinnest bezels in the world.”
