Apple has always been known for its fine details and stylish design in the technology sector. However, this time, an interesting detail has emerged regarding the iPhone 16 Pro model. According to Apple’s official data, the frames of the iPhone 16 Pro are not completely symmetrical. Apple, which has been praised for its flawless design for years, has made a small difference in this model.
Steve Jobs would cry if he saw it: iPhone 16 Pro’s screen frame thicknesses are not equal!
According to official statements, the left and right sides of the iPhone 16 Pro’s display bezels (the black strip around the screen) are 1.44 mm thick , while the top and bottom sides are 1.41 mm thick. At first glance, this difference may seem very small. However, for users who care about symmetry, this detail will not go unnoticed. In other words, even with a little attention when holding this phone in your hand, you can notice a subtle difference between the top and side bezels.
When we look at the iPhone 16 Pro Max model, we see that this difference is less. The top and bottom frames of this model are 1.36 mm , while the left and right frames are the same thickness. In other words, the Pro Max model has a slightly more symmetrical design. However, in the lower models of the iPhone 16 series (iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus), both the side and top frames are 2.275 mm thick. In other words, there is no symmetry problem in these models.
It’s hard to know why Apple made this small difference, but it’s thought there were some technical requirements regarding the internal structure of the device. The screen size was increased from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches, and the device weighed 12 grams more, which could also be related to these design changes.
Also, the telephoto camera is brought to the same level as the iPhone 16 Pro Max, which may be related to Apple’s effort to fit more technology into a thinner body in this model. However, it is a fact that this difference will not be noticeable in daily use.
Do you think this small difference will affect the user experience? Or will all the other good features of Apple make this difference unnoticed? You can write your opinions in the comments section below.
