Apple had announced that the iPhone 16e had a larger battery thanks to its new internal design. However, since the technology giant did not directly share the battery capacity, users were curious about this. Now, the tests and reviews show that the iPhone 16e really offers high battery performance. So how good is the battery life of the iPhone 16e? Here are the details…
What were the results of the iPhone 16e battery tests?
According to Apple’s official statements, the iPhone 16e has the distinction of being the 6.1-inch iPhone with the longest battery life ever produced. This is due to a larger battery capacity and the power efficiency offered by Apple’s new C1 modem.

Dave Lee, the owner of the Dave2D channel, known for his technology content on YouTube, saw that the battery capacity of the iPhone 16e is 3,961 mAh with the tests he conducted. In comparison, this capacity is 3,561 mAh in the standard iPhone 16 model. In other words, the iPhone 16e has a battery that is approximately 10 percent larger. So how does this differ in daily use?
In Lee’s test, the device was constantly loading Reddit pages over Wi-Fi to measure battery performance. As a result, the iPhone 16e managed to work for a full 12 hours and 54 minutes in this test. In the same test, the iPhone 16 model lasted for 11 hours and 17 minutes. The difference was clearly in the iPhone 16e’s favor.
However, in a different test conducted by Tom’s Guide, it was seen that the iPhone 16e’s battery performance was almost at the same level as the iPhone 16. In a test simulating web browsing, the iPhone 16e worked for an average of 12 hours and 41 minutes, while the iPhone 16’s time was recorded as 12 hours and 43 minutes.
Patrick Holland from CNET stated that he tested the device intensively for six days and said that he only needed to charge it three times during that time. It was also stated that in the test conducted with a 30W charger, the phone reached 59 percent in 30 minutes. In the video playback test, the iPhone 16e did not lose any battery for the first hour. In the same test, the battery levels of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 15 models dropped to 97 percent.
