New information has surfaced about the iPhone 17 Air, one of the highlights of Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 series in September. While the model previously attracted attention with its technical specifications, this time its design, color options, and some hardware details have been leaked. It’s become clear that the device focuses on a “lightweight” theme, both visually and in terms of hardware.
iPhone 17 Air color options revealed
According to new reports, the iPhone 17 Air will be available in four different colors: black, silver, light gold, and light blue. The light blue shade, in particular, is said to have a very smooth color transition, almost white.

The light gold option, on the other hand, offers a simpler, matte finish, eschewing any noticeable gloss. Apple’s decision to give the device a lightweight impression not only physically but also visually.
The most striking hardware element is the A19 Pro chipset. However, this chip is reportedly a stripped-down version, unlike the Pro and Pro Max models. Still, the iPhone 17 Air is said to offer a significant performance increase over the iPhone 16 Plus, its successor. RAM capacity will remain at 8GB for the iPhone 17 Air, the same as the iPhone 17 Pro models.
The device’s ultra-thin body is also a notable feature. The thickness is reportedly expected to range from 5.5mm to 5.65mm. This thinness imposes some limitations on battery capacity. The iPhone 17 Air’s battery capacity is estimated to be between 2800 and 2900mAh. This raises some concerns about battery life, especially under heavy usage.
Regarding the camera, Apple is opting for a single rear camera. The iPhone 17 Air will come with only one main camera. While this architecture, expected to be supported by software image processing techniques, may be sufficient for mainstream users, it may be limiting for those expecting pro-level photo and video quality.
With the iPhone 17 Air, Apple appears to be emphasizing a “lightweight, simple, and functional” approach. It is noteworthy that every detail, from color options to hardware preferences, was determined in this line.
