Apple has accelerated its efforts for the new iPhone SE 4, which will be relatively budget-friendly. Emerging reports suggest that the device will receive a major design update and will be in line with current iPhone models. However, research has revealed that the iPhone SE 4 will not meet sales expectations.
iPhone SE 4 price is already causing controversy
Although the iPhone SE 4 has not yet been released, it is known that the affordable SE series has lost a lot of value over time. According to SellCell, the iPhone SE 3 has lost 40 percent of its value since its launch in 2022.
In contrast, the iPhone 13 series, which came out in the same year, retained about 80 percent of its value. Other high-end models such as iPhone 14 and 15 also managed to maintain their value in the months after their release.
The high depreciation in terms of price lowers expectations for the iPhone SE 4. The fact that users generally prioritize long-lasting performance and price stability prevents them from turning to SE models in the long run.
According to the claims put forward by various sources so far, the iPhone SE 4 model will be similar to the iPhone 14 released in 2022. Accordingly, the smartphone will have a 6.1-inch OLED display. Supported by a 60 Hz refresh rate, this screen will also include Dynamic Island technology, which entered our lives with the iPhone 14 Pro series.
Powered by the Apple A17 or A18 processor, the affordable iPhone model, which will make a name for itself with its performance, will feature a 48 Megapixel resolution main camera. This camera will allow you to take high quality photos.
It is currently unknown when the iPhone SE 4 will be released. Some recent claims pointed to the beginning of 2025.
