WhatsApp will make it much easier to share files between Android and iOS. A feature being tested in the beta version of the app will allow you to share files with nearby users without an internet connection. Here is the new WhatsApp file sharing support.
WhatsApp gets “share files with people nearby” support
WhatsApp is testing a feature that will allow users to share files with others nearby without an internet connection. The file sharing option, which was discovered in a recent beta update, will give the app a similar capability to iOS AirDrop or Android Share Nearby.
WhatsApp will use Bluetooth and WiFi support to share files with nearby users. Once this feature is activated, it will be possible to transfer files to a nearby user directly in the WhatsApp app.
The beta feature works when both parties agree to the request. It also promises end-to-end encryption to keep shared files private. This will eliminate the need to use third-party services to transfer files, especially between Android and iOS.
The new sharing functionality will allow you to share files directly from the app without an internet connection or other services. Considering that almost every smartphone owner uses WhatsApp nowadays, this feature seems quite useful.
WhatsApp has recently been taking important steps to improve its user interface. Major changes are expected especially on the Android platform. With an update, the initials of the “Writing” and “Online” tokens, which show the status of the other person in chats, have been capitalized.
