Rumours that Samsung will add a new member to the flagship S series are getting stronger: This ultra-thin flagship, previously referred to as the Galaxy S25 Slim, is now rumoured to be released as the Galaxy S25 SE (Special Edition). Given the company’s traditional naming strategy, these claims would not be surprising. So, what are the plans of the South Korean company?
Limited production can be made for the new Samsung Galaxy S25!
According to the latest information from South Korea, Samsung plans to launch this new model in the second quarter of 2025. However, there is a striking detail here: A limited production of 3 million units. The company’s pursuit of such a strategy may be aimed at measuring how users will react to its ultra-thin structure and high price tag.

Galaxy S25 SE or Slim will be among the large-screen models with a screen size of 6.66 inches. The most striking feature of the device, which is expected to have a structure similar to the S25 Plus with its design, will be its thin and light structure. This model of Samsung aims to combine premium design with high performance.
Samsung may position the model as a special version of the series by preferring the name ‘SE’ (Special Edition or Slim Edition) since it has not used the name ‘Slim’ much before. This nomenclature will make the user think that the device will offer a unique experience with its limited production and ultra-thin structure.
Samsung’s S25 SE or Slim model is an innovative design experiment in the flagship phone market. If this model attracts the expected interest, the limited production plan can be expanded and this new concept of Samsung can become permanent.
