January’s free PS Plus games
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
Set in Metropolis, this team-based action game unites DC’s infamous villains. Despite its highly anticipated launch, the game didn’t receive the expected attention. Over the course of 2024, updates and new character additions improved the experience, with its final season releasing just last month. Players can now dive into this title for free. Previously, it was also offered as a free game by Amazon Prime.
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered
Widely regarded as one of the best entries in EA’s iconic racing series, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit returned in 2020 with a remastered edition. The game offers improved visuals, thrilling races, and action-packed pursuits where players can choose to play as either racers or the police.
The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe
Finally, one of the most unique games on the list, The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe, offers an unexpected and complex narrative. While details are kept sparse to preserve the game’s charm, this new version expands on the original story and feels like a sequel in its own right.
