Kia introduced its first all-electric global sedan model EV4 at the New York International Auto Show. The model, which holds an important place in the company’s electric vehicle strategy, is planned to be available for sale worldwide in early 2026. Creating a lower, sporty and accessible alternative in the SUV-dominated electric vehicle market, EV4 stands out with its design and technical details.
Kia announced its new electric sedan EV4
The vehicle was developed on Kia’s electric platform. Its stance close to the ground and fastback-style roofline brings a sporty interpretation to the sedan form. At the front, there is a light signature called Star Map and a redesigned Kia grille.

At the rear, vertically positioned taillights and a two-piece spoiler draw attention. The GT-Line trim level gets special 19-inch wheels. On the other hand, the cabin design emphasises spaciousness and technology.
Two-spoke steering wheel, digital instrument panels and multi-coloured ambient lighting create a modern atmosphere in the interior. The vehicle also has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. In addition, digital key technology and an artificial intelligence-supported voice assistant system are offered.
Two different options are offered on the battery side. The entry-level Light version has a battery with a capacity of 58.3 kWh and provides a range of approximately 378 kilometres. The Wind and GT-Line versions use a larger battery with a capacity of 81.4 kWh. In these versions, the range exceeds 531 kilometres.
All versions are equipped with a 150 kW electric motor positioned at the front. With DC fast charging support, it will be possible to charge the battery from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in just 30 minutes. In terms of safety and driving assistance systems, there is also extensive equipment.
In addition to systems such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist and driver attention warning, the EV4 also includes the V2L (vehicle-to-load) feature that can transfer energy to external devices.
The vehicle will go on sale in the global market in early 2026. So what do you think about this subject? You can share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
