Lady Gaga shared her Fortnite collaboration on Twitter
The names joining Fortnite’s ever-expanding roster of celebrities can no longer surprise, they find a way to surprise. World-famous music stars, movie stars, superheroes, movie characters are taking part in the game. When you say it can’t get any more famous, more famous ones come.
This time, that celebrity was Lady Gaga. In a cryptic post on Twitter, the pop star shared an image of her Fortnite character shrouded in bright light and fog. The image is dated February 22nd and hints at an upcoming announcement regarding the Fortnite Festival.
This came as a surprise to many, as evidenced by Lady Gaga’s earlier reference to Fortnite’s mispronunciation of “fortnight”.
Celebrities who have collaborated with Fortnite include Travis Scott’s Astronomical event, where the rapper performed a live concert in-game, bringing together millions of players around the world. More recently, The Weeknd released a music video for his song “Popular” during the Fortnite Festival.
Despite initial challenges such as lukewarm reviews and technical limitations, Fortnite Festival has continued to evolve since its launch in December. Epic Games said it will prioritize controller support, a key feature missing at launch, and announced an exclusive partnership with PDP to develop a new wireless guitar compatible with both Rock Band 4 and Fortnite Festival.
