EA Mobile has saddened players by announcing the closure of Real Racing 3, one of the most beloved mobile racing games. After 12 years, the game will be gradually phased out and its servers will be completely shut down.
Real Racing 3 Shutting Down: Here’s the Shutdown Schedule
Electronic Arts (EA) has spread the game’s shutdown process over a specific timeline to minimize player inconvenience. This process will begin with the game’s removal from digital stores and end with the complete shutdown of the servers. Here are the important dates you need to know:
- Removal from Stores: From December 18, 2025, the game will no longer be available for download to new users from the App Store and Google Play.
- In-Game Purchases: Similarly, all transactions and package sales made with real money will cease on December 18, 2025.
- Server Shutdown: The final date for the game’s deactivation will be March 19, 2026. After this date, the game will be completely unplayable.

However, existing players who previously downloaded the game will be able to re-download it via their account history until the servers shut down. Players will have until March 19, 2026, to spend any remaining in-game currency.
EA is releasing a final update as a thank you to the community at the end of this long 12-year journey. This update will give all players a special digital gift package. The package includes:
- 1,000 Gold
- Audi S1 e-tron quattro
- 2023 Rimac Nevera
The developers also confirmed that players who already own these vehicles will receive additional Gold as compensation. This offers a great opportunity for players to enrich their garages before saying goodbye to the legendary game.
