First of all, the device’s design will be more budget-friendly thanks to the lack of detachable controllers and some internal hardware changes. The display is an 8-inch LCD with PureSight technology. It supports 1920 x 1200 resolution and offers a 120 Hz refresh rate. Processor options include AMD Ryzen Z2 Go and AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme, developed exclusively for this model.
It has a maximum capacity of 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and comes with non-expandable memory. It also features a 55.5Wh three-cell battery for long-lasting use. Connectivity options include dual USB-C 4.0 ports, a microSD card reader and Wi-Fi 6E support.
Lenovo says that offering SteamOS and Windows operating systems together will give consumers more freedom and choice. Lenovo also unveiled the Legion Go 2 prototype at the event. This new model will come with an 8.8-inch OLED display, 144 Hz refresh rate, and a more advanced display with VRR (variable refresh rate) support.
The Legion Go 2 comes with powerful hardware specs, including a Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor and 32 GB of RAM, with detachable controllers and support for TV connectivity. It will also have a 73 Wh battery. At CES 2025, Lenovo unveiled not only gaming consoles but also various accessories for the Legion lineup.
These include Legion Glass 2nd generation holographic glasses that function as a virtual display, a waterproof carrying case, and a 9H screen protector that increases the durability of the device. Lenovo has not yet announced the release date and price of the Legion Go S.
