The MWC 2025 event has officially started. While technology companies continue to introduce their new products to users, we are also witnessing many innovative developments. Finally, Lenovo made a move with the Yoga Solar PC laptop that can be charged with solar energy. So, what exactly does the Lenovo Yoga Solar PC offer? Here are the details!
What exactly does the Lenovo Yoga Solar PC offer?
Lenovo introduced the Yoga Solar PC, a new laptop concept that can be charged with solar energy, at the Mobile World Congress (MWC). The new model hosts a panel consisting of 84 solar cells integrated into the lid of the laptop and can extend battery life by collecting energy from the light source.

The laptop provides the highest charging efficiency in sunny outdoor conditions, while it can also collect some energy from indoor lights. Although Lenovo states that this model has not yet entered mass production, it should be noted that it previously introduced the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 as a concept and will be on sale in June 2025.
According to Lenovo, the laptop can provide approximately one hour of video playback with 20 minutes of sunlight with its solar panel. Apart from this, it hosts an Intel Lunar Lake processor, 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. Moreover, we can say that it comes with a 14-inch OLED screen.
It is not limited to these. It is stated that it is 15 mm thick and weighs approximately 1.04 kg. On the other hand, the model also has a special software called Dynamic Solar Tracking, which allows the current and voltage produced by the solar panel to be monitored instantly.
