LG unveils its 2025 model OLED TVs
The 2025 model LG OLED televisions will be released as the G5 and C5 series. The OLED evo G5 model uses LG’s newly developed four-layer OLED panel technology. This new panel offers 45% higher brightness. While the previous generation LG G4 can reach approximately 1,500 nits of brightness, the G5 model increases this value to 2,000 nits.

The G5 series supports variable refresh rate (VRR) up to 165Hz. It also works with NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium technologies. The model also includes Perfect Black and Perfect Color certifications, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and AI Sound Pro supported Filmmaker Mode.
The C5 series is positioned as a more affordable option. However, it is stated that it offers a significant improvement compared to the previous generation. Although the company has not shared clear figures about the brightness level of the C5 series, considering that the previous generation C4 series offered around 1,000 nits of brightness, we can estimate that the new model will reach 1,500 nits.
In addition, the C5 series offers improvements in image and audio performance thanks to AI Picture Pro and AI Sound Pro technologies. The 144Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision support on the device are also quite remarkable.
The LG OLED evo G5 series will be available in different screen sizes: 55, 65, 77, 83 and 93 inches. Prices start at $2,499 and go up to $24,999 for the largest 97-inch model. The C5 series comes with smaller screen options. The price of the 42-inch model is $1,399, while the largest model, the 83-inch version, goes up to $5,399.
