LG has expanded its UltraGear OLED gaming monitor lineup with three new models. The GX9 series models, available in 45-inch, 39-inch, and 34-inch screen sizes, retain the core features of previous QE versions while offering updates in connectivity, sound systems, and some hardware features.
LG Launches New OLED Gaming Monitors
The largest model in the series, the LG UltraGear OLED 45GX900A, uses a second-generation WOLED panel offering 1440p resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate. This panel is familiar from the previous 45GS95QE model. However, the new model also includes a USB Type-C port with 65W charging support and stereo 7W speakers. The previous version lacked these features. The 45GX900A is available in the US for $1,700.

The mid-range model in the series, the LG UltraGear OLED 39GX900A, features a 21:9 aspect ratio and 1440p resolution. The monitor offers a 240Hz refresh rate, an 800R curved panel, and HDR brightness support up to 1300 nits.
This model also features a 65W USB Type-C port and stereo 7W speakers. However, it lacks the Gigabit Ethernet port and webOS 24 operating system found on the previous GS95QE model. The 39GX900A is available in Canada with a price tag of $1600.
The smallest model, the LG UltraGear OLED 34GX900A, adds a distinctive aesthetic to the series with its dark gray design and purple backlight. It stands out with its 21:9 aspect ratio, 1440p resolution, 0.03ms GtG response time, and 240Hz refresh rate. The screen brightness is 275 nits.
Connectivity includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI 2.1 ports, and one USB-C port. However, this model lacks a USB Type-B port or Gigabit Ethernet support. The 34GX900A was launched at $1,300.
While unveiling these three new models, LG also attended the K-Display event in Seoul. The event also showcased next-generation display technologies, including an 83-inch fourth-generation OLED panel capable of reaching 4,000 nits of brightness, a 27-inch OLED monitor, the world’s fastest, and a 45-inch OLED panel offering 5K2K resolution.
