LG Electronics USA has officially announced the LG MAGNIT “Active Micro LED” display, its latest innovation redefining the luxury home theater experience. Thanks to this technology, the screen offers superior image clarity, contrast, and depth. This striking 136-inch device is being showcased for the first time in the US market at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, January 6-9.

The latest addition to LG’s premium MAGNIT product line, the Active Micro LED display provides a viewing area of approximately 3.5 meters wide and 1.67 meters high. The device boasts 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160) resolution and an exceptional contrast ratio of one million to one. The new model combines a self-illuminating Micro LED structure with Active Matrix technology.
This, unlike traditional Passive Matrix systems, allows each pixel to independently produce light and be controlled at an individual level. The result is ultra-high-resolution image quality and extremely refined detail.
The screen’s precisely aligned modular design minimizes gaps between panels, creating a flawless display surface. This design prevents flickering, ghosting, and image instability in both bright and dim scenes, delivering smooth and consistent image performance.
At the heart of the screen is LG’s 6th generation α9 (Alpha 9) AI Processor. The processor intelligently analyzes the creator’s intent to optimize each scene. It reduces noise, enhances clarity, and recognizes faces, objects, text, and backgrounds, delivering more natural, detailed, and lifelike visuals. Furthermore, the high variable refresh rate of up to 144Hz ensures smooth, blur-free motion, especially for fast-paced games and dynamic sports broadcasts.
The device also supports AirPlay 2 and Miracast, allowing for convenient screen sharing with iOS and Android devices. The LG MAGNIT Active Micro LED supports Dolby Vision high dynamic range technology to deliver stunning visuals, dazzling colors, and rich detail. The screen has also received TÜV Rheinland’s Color Consistency Wide Display certification, confirming its ability to deliver uniform colors and wide viewing angles even at ultra-large sizes.
Speakers built into either side of the screen deliver a 4.2-channel immersive sound field with a total output power of 100 watts. Advanced Audio Return Channel (eARC) support is also included for virtually lossless transmission of high-quality audio.
