LG to unveil a device that is both lamp and projector at CES 2025
The PF600U is a versatile projector that won a CES Innovation Award. It looks like a stylish floor lamp and comes with Full HD projection capability and Bluetooth audio. The device’s LED illumination can transform the environment with nine different color tones and five brightness levels.
It also offers an adjustable image up to 110 degrees thanks to its swiveling projection head. However, since the device has a brightness level of 300 ANSI lumens, it performs best in low-light environments. The second device LG will introduce is the CineBeam S (PU615U). The device, which is in the ultra-short throw projection category, projects images in 4K resolution and offers screen sizes from 40 to 100 inches.
Drawing attention with its compact design, CineBeam S will offer an impressive audio and video experience thanks to its RGB laser lighting system and Dolby Atmos supported stereo speakers. With 500 ANSI lumens of brightness, it outperforms its predecessor, but is optimized for low-light environments.
Both devices come integrated with LG’s webOS operating system. With this system, users will be able to access Netflix, YouTube and other platforms with ease. LG has not yet made an official announcement regarding the price and release date of the devices. However, we will have the opportunity to examine the products closely at CES 2025.
