Apple, had made it a tradition to introduce its new products through an event. This week, the tech world was surprised by the decision not to hold an event for the expected new products. As anticipated, Apple has now unveiled the new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models.
13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models with M3 chips take the stage
There had been many reports about Apple introducing new MacBook Air models in the first quarter of 2024. Without organizing an event for the first time, the company revealed its new models. The 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models, powered by the M3 processor fabricated on TSMC’s 3 nm production line, are now available for purchase. Apple made the following statements regarding the matter:
“The MacBook Air with the M3 chip is up to 60% faster than the model with the M1 chip and up to 13 times faster than the fastest Intel-based MacBook Air. With the faster and more efficient Neural Engine in the M3 chip, the MacBook Air continues to be the best AI-supported laptop for everyday tasks. The 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air feature an incredibly slim and lightweight design, up to 18 hours of battery life, stunning Liquid Retina display, as well as new capabilities such as support for up to two external displays and up to 2 times faster Wi-Fi connection compared to the previous generation.”
