Details about Apple’s iPhone 17 series, expected to be unveiled in September, are beginning to emerge. Recent leaks have revealed striking changes to both the color options and the physical design, particularly for the Pro and Pro Max models.
Color palette expands, design redesigns underway
Apple is expanding its palette, which in previous years was limited to simple tones like “Titanium Black” and “Natural Titanium,” to bolder colors with the iPhone 17 Pro. Five color options are listed for the Pro versions: Black, Gray, Silver, Dark Blue, and Orange. However, “Orange” is reportedly more likely to refer to a dark gold or copper tone.

The new report also reveals that the standard iPhone 17 model will be available in Black, Gray, Light Green, Silver, Light Blue, and Light Purple, while the iPhone 17 Air will be available in Black, Silver, Blue Gray, and Light Gold.
Apple is also reportedly color-coordinating the lens cover on all models. In addition to the color changes, the iPhone 17 Pro models appear to represent a radical departure from Apple’s long-standing design.
Leaked images show a large camera bump on the back of the device and a repositioning of the Apple logo. These changes have sparked debate among Apple users, and it remains unclear whether the final design will be released.
Apple’s reluctance to offer color options in recent years, beyond the “Alpine Green” on the iPhone 13 Pro, has raised expectations among users. With the iPhone 17 Pro, Apple is expected to offer a more vibrant and unique visual experience.
