Many Instagram users around the world have had their accounts suspended. The exact details are still unknown, but some users’ accounts have been suspended as of today (October 31, 2022). According to what users stated on Twitter, it seems that all of their accounts were suspended at the same time.
A worldwide error
People flooded Twitter trying to figure out what is going on. Screenshots show masses being suspended all at once. “We suspended your account on 31 October 2022,” the alert shows. It is not clear how widespread the problem is.
Problems began at 12:45 pm on Monday and since then, more than 3,000 complaints have been made to the global outage site Down Detector. Of those, 58 percent are having problems with the app, 38 percent are facing login issues and 4 percent have run into problems with the website. Instagram is aware of this problem and tweeted the following:
