MediaTek Dimensity P1 Ultra unveiled
MediaTek has officially announced the Dimensity P1 Ultra, its latest processor developed for the automotive world. This new chipset brings top-tier performance to smart vehicle cockpits.
What does the Dimensity P1 Ultra offer?
The company built this new processor on advanced 4nm process technology. The Dimensity P1 Ultra also features a powerful 8-core CPU offering 175K DMIPS of computing power.
The processor features a hardware-level GPU with ray tracing support, delivering 1800 GFLOPS of graphics performance. This elevates in-car gaming and visual experiences.
The chip also features a dedicated NPU with 23 TOPS of processing power. This unit can run large language models (LLMs) with 7 billion parameters in-car without needing the cloud.
The new platform is available to manufacturers in three different versions: 5G, 4G, and Wi-Fi. Thanks to MediaTek MiraVision technology, a single chip can simultaneously manage six different displays.
