The new era of high-performance driving is here, with the official roadmap for the upcoming Mercedes-AMG electric models now public. Mercedes-AMG is accelerating its electrification process, as confirmed by CEO Michael Schiebe. The brand has officially announced that three new all-electric performance automobiles are currently in development, setting a clear path for the future.
Future Plans for Mercedes-AMG Electric Models
According to the official confirmation, the expansion of AMG’s electric vehicle lineup will occur in three distinct phases. The first vehicle in this new series will be a four-door super sedan, designed to carry the brand’s rich performance legacy into the electric age. This will be followed by a high-performance, all-electric SUV. However, the most striking announcement was the third model, which is positioned as a sportier version of the aforementioned SUV.
This third vehicle is designed as a “Coupe” version with dynamic and aggressive lines. If the current plans hold, this car is expected to be unveiled in the second half of 2027 and aims to redefine the standards in its segment. Built on the advanced AMG.EA platform with an 800V architecture, this model will feature three separate electric motors, delivering a combined output of over 1,000 horsepower.

The First Model: A Super Sedan with Active Aero
The super sedan, which will be the first model in AMG’s electric offensive, is already making waves with its advanced technological features. In recently shared videos, the vehicle’s active bumper system and a movable rear diffuser caught the eye. This sophisticated system is engineered to generate maximum downforce at high speeds, thereby enhancing the car’s grip and stability.
This technology will provide a significant advantage, especially during track driving, and eliminates the need for a massive rear spoiler. Expected to be named the “Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe,” this model will also be equipped with three electric motors. It is anticipated to be introduced before the end of 2026 with a jaw-dropping power output of up to 1,300 horsepower. With its price and performance, this model is poised to compete for the top spot in the electric supercar segment.
