Mercedes-Benz has shared the first glimpse of the interior of the all-new electric GLC, which will make its world premiere at the IAA MOBILITY 2025 show in Munich on September 7th. The first model to showcase the next phase of the brand’s “Sensory Purity” design language in series production, the electric GLC stands out with its revolutionary interior, powered by the MB.OS operating system. At the heart of this design, which aims to provide the driver and passengers with a personal, effortless, and connected space, is the new MBUX HYPERSCREEN, the largest screen ever fitted in a Mercedes-Benz.
An Automotive First for the New Electric GLC: The 99.3 cm MBUX HYPERSCREEN
The key element that elevates the interior experience of the new GLC to an unprecedented level is the MBUX HYPERSCREEN, which extends seamlessly from pillar to pillar. At 99.3 centimeters (39.1 inches), this panel, the largest Mercedes-Benz display to date, aims to truly embody the brand’s “Welcome Home” feeling. It delivers exceptional clarity and vibrant colors thanks to its high resolution and innovative matrix backlight technology featuring over 1,000 individual LEDs. Intelligent zone dimming allows simultaneous adjustment of two display areas, ensuring that important information is always clear and accessible, thus reducing distractions. Mercedes-Benz has also announced a patent application for this groundbreaking technology.

Fluent Design and Digital Sophistication Combine
The interior design is defined by a large decorative sculpture that connects the center console and the instrument panel. A single, flowing trim element visually unites these two sections, creating a sculptural surface, elegantly accented by ambient lighting at the lower edge. The console integrates up to two wireless and fast charging trays for smartphones, depending on the selected trim level, as well as a new physical key control strip (including a hazard warning light button). Separate, stylish cupholders enhance usability, while galvanized air vents offer a refined technological aesthetic. When climate control settings are adjusted, the ambient and ventilation lighting color changes instantly, confirming the selection.
The door panels feature a clean design with striking metallic speaker grilles and trim, while the leather seats follow a similarly clean and minimalist design. All these elements, combined with the new MBUX HYPERSCREEN and impressive new ambient styles, create a sense of digital sophistication and deliver a captivating, immersive interior experience.
Personalized Atmosphere: High-Definition Ambient Styles
Thanks to the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), the physical and digital worlds are seamlessly blended. Users can choose high-resolution and atmospheric ambient styles as their screen backgrounds. These styles offer a wide range of moods, from calm to intense, cool to warm, and technical to emotional. The colors of the instrument panel, control elements, and ambient lighting are coordinated with these emotional motifs, allowing users to create a completely personalized atmosphere inside the vehicle. With ambient lighting, striking lines, elegant decorative elements, and the breathtaking MBUX HYPERSCREEN, the new GLC redefines the art of interior elegance and digital convenience.
