Meta has officially launched its artificial intelligence assistant Meta AI, which has been integrated with platforms such as Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger and Facebook for a long time, as a standalone application. The application, which was introduced at the LlamaCon 2025 event, allows users to have a ChatGPT-like experience directly from their mobile devices.

Meta AI application is now available

The Meta AI application was developed with the company’s newest language model, Llama 4. The application promises a personal artificial intelligence experience specifically designed for voice conversations. The chat interface was also designed to offer natural and fluid use.

One of the striking features of the application is the ability to make voice calls in the background with multitasking support. Thus, users can continue to talk to Meta AI while using other applications. However, the voice call feature is not currently available in Turkey.

The Meta AI application stands out not only as a text-based assistant; it also stands out as a tool that can create and edit images with voice commands. The artificial intelligence, which can remember information about the user, can infer meaning according to the context and shape its responses accordingly.

It can also leverage content and profile data previously shared by users on Meta platforms to create personalized responses. Meta AI is currently only available for download in certain regions.
