The new editing tool allows users to choose from more than 50 ready-made commands. It is possible to transform a person’s appearance into a comic book character, a marble statue or a video game hero.
In addition, video scenes can be moved to a sunny environment like a beach or a snow-covered landscape. Light effects and different color filters that create a dream atmosphere can also be included in the edits. However, at this stage, users cannot edit by entering their own original commands. This feature is planned to be available towards the end of the year.
The tool announced by Meta is the first commercial product of the Movie Gen technology. Movie Gen not only edits existing videos; it also has the ability to produce videos from scratch and convert photos into animated images.
It has been stated that the editor, which is currently accessible via the Meta AI app, Meta.AI website and Edits app, will also be integrated into Instagram in the future.
