Meta has added an AI-powered assistant to its dating platform, Facebook Dating. This feature aims to simplify users’ partner search. AI helps users find matches that better match their specified criteria.
Facebook Dating is gaining AI support
Users can conduct specific searches, such as “someone interested in technology, living in Berlin,” and receive recommendations when creating a profile. It’s important to note that this new service is not currently available in Turkey.

Meta also offers a feature called “Meet Cute.” This feature aims to prevent users from constantly scrolling through profiles. The system offers a unique experience by suggesting surprise matches determined by the algorithm once a week.
According to the company’s data, the number of matches on Facebook Dating for users aged 18-29 has increased by 10 percent in the past year. Hundreds of thousands of young people create new profiles on the platform every month. However, Facebook Dating lags behind its market-leading competitors. Tinder has approximately 50 million daily active users, and Hinge has 10 million.
Artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly prevalent in the dating app industry. Match Group, which owns apps like Tinder and Hinge, partnered with OpenAI to develop AI-powered photo selection and profile editing tools. Similarly, Bumble is integrating AI into its platform.
