Metallica, one of the best representatives of thrash metal, is now appearing in Fortnite. Fortnite Festival Season 4 is underway and Metallica will perform in this mode on June 22-23.
Metallica will take part in Fortnite Festival, introducing a new music PvP mode
According to an announcement on Fortnite’s blog, “Metallica: Fuel. Fire. Fury” will include classic tracks such as Master of Puppets, Ride the Lightning and The Unforgiven. All four band members will have in-game costumes, a new emote and a new Rocket Racing track called Thrash Mountain.
The biggest innovation will be the new “PvP Battle Stage” mode. This mode will remain in the game permanently after the season ends.
Epic Games describes this new mode as a “musical battle royale”. In this mode, 16 players will battle through a four-song setlist, with a winner emerging at the end.
New features have also been added to the Battle Royale mode. “Ride the Lightning” guitars can create an arc of lightning in the sky that teammates can ride, allowing you to return to the ground as an attack. Also, the loot islands have been redesigned similar to the stage used by Metallica during their M72 World Tour.
The season will end on August 16th. What do you think? Please don’t forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
