Microsoft has increased the prices of its Xbox Series S and Series X consoles. The company will also increase the prices of its upcoming Xbox games. The price updates were announced in US dollars and will be implemented gradually worldwide. It is not yet clear how much the prices in Turkey will be affected.
Microsoft has officially increased Xbox prices
According to the new prices, the digital version of the Xbox Series X has increased from $450 to $550, and the disc version from $500 to $600. On the Xbox Series S side, the 500 GB model has increased from $300 to $380, and the 1 TB capacity model from $350 to $430.

However, the decision to increase is not limited to hardware. Microsoft is also increasing the prices of many games. New games such as Halo, Gears of War and Forza Motorsport, developed by the company’s own studios, will now be sold for $80. This price coincides with the AAA game price standard that has become widespread in the sector recently.
This update made by Microsoft on game prices came after similar steps by companies such as Nintendo and Rockstar. Nintendo had announced that it planned to reduce game prices to $80-90 with the Switch 2. GTA VI is also expected to be released in this price range.
Microsoft’s new pricing policy may make the Xbox Game Pass platform more advantageous. Because many of the games that will be released at an expensive price are added to the Game Pass catalog from day one.
