With the developing technology, access to the internet is more accessible, and prices are better than earlier. Mobile data has also changed our lives with the improvements in the internet. And a company did a research about mobile data prices. Here are the details…
Mobile data cost around the world
According to the cellular data prices list, People use the cheapest mobile data in Israel while people use the most expensive one in Saint Helena (an island in South Atlantic Ocean related to the UK). Israelis use only 1GB of mobile data for $0.04, and this price rises to $41.06 in Saint Helena.
There are also some surprising things on the list about countries. The US and the UK are not top of the list. While US citizens spend an average of $5.62 per gigabyte, people in the UK spend $0.79 for 1GB. Indeed, it is good progress for the UK because the mobile data prices were $1.48 for 1GB in the earlier data list. The UK placed the 78th, and the US stands at the 202nd.
A spokesperson for this data said, “At the more expensive end of the list, we have countries where often the infrastructure isn’t great but also where consumption is very small. People are often buying data packages of just tens of megabytes at a time, making a gigabyte a relatively large and expensive amount of data to buy”.
Developing countries are trying to improve their mobile data to reduce the prices for people. We can give the UK as an example of that. The country made mobile data prices reduced for citizens. Reaching the internet must be cheap already in this space age because we use the internet every day and in every field.
