Motorola Edge 40 is powered by the Dimensity 8020
The new phone comes with the latest MediaTek Dimensity 8020, which is a good option for mid-range devices. The chipset has 4x performance Arm Cortex-A78 up to 2.6GHz, 4x efficiency Arm Cortex-A55 up to 2GHz, and 9x powerful Arm-Mali-G77 GPU cores. Additionally, the Edge 40 has 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage options.
The Edge 40 features a 6.55-inch endless edge 2400x1080px OLED with 144Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling, and HDR10+ support. Also, it has curved 3D glass with anti-fingerprint coating on the front. The device comes with a 4,400mAh battery with 68W TurboPower charging, and 15W wireless charging. The brand claims that the battery can last up to 30 hours.
In terms of camera, the new smartphone has a 50-megapixel 1/1.5-inch sensor with a wide f/1.4 optically-stabilized lens, a 13-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle with “Macro Vision” on the back. Moreover, it has a 32-megapixel f/2.4 selfie camera on the front.
The Motorola Edge 40 is now available in Nebula Green, Eclipse Black, and Lunar Blue color options. While the only Eclipse Black option can be purchased for now, the other models are out of stock. The phone costs £529.99 for the single 8/256GB version.
