Mark Zuckerberg made remarkable statements about his “cage fight” with Elon Musk. Stating that the Tesla CEO is not serious, Zuckerberg stated that he avoided a real appointment for the fight and did not give him any date.
Mark Zuckerberg: Elon is not serious, he wants to train in my backyard
The statement made by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Threads dropped like a bomb on the social media agenda. Despite Musk’s recent tweets about an “ancient Roman fight”, he refrained from giving an actual date for the event.
In his statement, Zuckerberg said, “I suggested a real date. Dana White (UFC President) offered to make it a legal bout for charity. Elon did not confirm the date, he said he had to have surgery and now he wants to do a workout in my backyard.”
The rivalry between the two billionaires began in June when Musk proposed a “cage fight” against Zuckerberg. Zuckerberg accepted without delay and asked Musk to send a location. But Musk’s refusal to set a date led to speculation that Zuckerberg would cancel the match.
Zuckerberg, who has been training in jiu-jitsu for a long time, is seen as the favorite in the Ancient Roman-themed match. He also stated that if Musk commits to the fight, he would be open to planning.
“If Elon gets serious about a real date and an official event, he knows how to reach me. Otherwise, it’s time to move on. I will focus on competing with people who take this sport seriously.”
Elon Musk or company representatives have yet to comment on Zuckerberg’s call. The expected fight between the two billionaires continues to be on the agenda of social media.
