Netflix has finally started taking concrete steps for the Assassin’s Creed series, which was announced in 2020. The names that will sit in the scriptwriter’s chair of the project that has been silent for a long time have been announced. According to the latest information, Roberto Patino and David Wiener have been assigned to write the script for the series.
Netflix will meet us with the Assassin’s Creed series
Roberto Patino has previously worked on series such as Westworld and Sons of Anarchy. David Wiener, on the other hand, is one of the writers and producers of the Halo series, and was among the creators of the 2020 series Brave New World. These two will replace Jeb Stuart, who was previously involved in the project but later left.

Netflix’s assignment of two screenwriters with experience in science fiction-based productions to the project suggests that the series will focus more on the episodes set in modern times in the Assassin’s Creed universe. The mysterious Animus technology that underlies the game series allows users to access the genetic memories of their ancestors. The series adaptation is also expected to deal with this theme in depth.
The new team of writers will complete the script drafts in the coming weeks and present them to Netflix management. If the platform approves, the Assassin’s Creed series will officially begin filming. This step taken for the project, which has been awaited for five years, has revealed that the series will finally be brought to life.
