The Netflix series Supacell, is by far one of the most watched productions on the platform for a while. Now, it has become an event with the positive reviews it received, as well as viewership records and Avengers comparisons. On Rotten Tomatoes, a site notorious for its low ratings, the show’s average score is currently 100/100.
Having achieved this average in 7 different reviews, the rating given by the viewers of the series stands out as 84/100. Here are the details…
Plot of Supacell
Netflix’s new series Supacell launched on the platform on March 29, 2024 and took the world by storm in as little as 3 months. The series, which has been at the top of the charts for a long time, is about the lives of ordinary people living in London who unexpectedly gain superpowers.
The main characters of the series try to keep their powers a secret, while at the same time trying to learn how to deal with these new abilities. Likened by viewers to one of the legendary superhero shows Heroes, the series scored a perfect 100 on Rotten Tomatoes, breaking an unbroken record in Netflix history.
However, many viewers and critics liken this new series to Marvel’s famous Avengers series. The show’s producers said in a statement last week that they are honored to be compared to a giant brand like Marvel, but that they want to continue to reflect their own story.
Following this success, Netflix announced that the second season of the series will begin filming. However, no announcement has yet been made about when the second season of the series will be released.
