AMD RX 9070 XT design revealed ahead of CES 2025
Judging from the teaser images shared by PowerColor, the RX 9070 XT features a unique metal cladding design and a triple fan cooling system. There’s also a window on the back plate that aims to optimize airflow.
This design could provide airflow similar to NVIDIA’s Founders Edition cards. However, it also shows some similarities to PowerColor’s existing Red Devil RX 7900 XTX Limited Edition design. While the arrangement of the heat spreader petals in the cooling system suggests that it’s not a full airflow design, we think it does include significant innovations to improve the performance of this card.
In addition, AMD’s new RDNA 4 architecture will offer higher performance and energy efficiency compared to previous generations. The RX 9070 XT is said to be the best representation of what this architecture has to offer. Technical details and full performance figures will be officially announced at CES 2025.
