Audi introduced the new A6 Sedan, the most aerodynamic model with an internal combustion engine. The model redefines the brand’s sedan concept with its elegant lines, high drag coefficient optimisation and advanced equipment.
New Audi A6 Sedan unveiled
The new A6 Sedan is built on the Premium Platform Combustion (PPC) infrastructure shared with the A5. Although it bears the same name as the all-electric A6 E-Tron, we can say that the two models have different platforms and design concepts.
The wide LED light strip, black winglets and dual exhaust outlets, which are now fully functional, give the car a powerful appearance. With a length of 4.99 metres, the vehicle will be 60 mm longer than its predecessor. The wheelbase is maintained at 2,927 mm.
Wheel options range from 21 to 23 inches, while forged alloy, three-colour special wheel alternatives are also offered. The interior has the same structure as the Avant version. An 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.5-inch infotainment screen are also standard.
Extensive updates have been implemented for driving comfort and quietness. The acoustic coating used on the rear windows and new bushings in the transmission connections provide a much quieter ride. In addition, with the change made in the gear structure of the dual clutch gearbox; 30 per cent improvement was achieved in the in-car sound level.
Engine options include a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 201 horsepower and 340 Nm torque. Let us remind you that this version is front-wheel drive. The 3.0-litre V6 engine with mild hybrid support producing 362 horsepower and 550 Nm torque is offered with the Quattro all-wheel drive system.
There is also a 2.0-litre diesel engine with 201 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. This diesel engine features 48-volt mild hybrid technology and can be preferred with front or all-wheel drive.
