Electronic Arts has confirmed that it will introduce the new game in the Battlefield series in the summer. The game, which began development after Battlefield 2042, which was released in 2021 and fell short of expectations, could bring the series back to its old days.
The new Battlefield game will be introduced this summer
EA CEO Andrew Wilson announced in his statement as part of the 4th quarter report for the 2025 fiscal year that the official introduction of the new game will be made this summer and that it will be released before the end of the company’s 2026 fiscal year. This means that the game will be on the shelves by April 2026 at the latest.

The introduction is expected to be made as part of Summer Game Fest 2025. This organization is held every year in the summer months and is the scene of major announcements in the gaming world. Wilson had previously stated that the game’s release window could be rescheduled so that it does not conflict with Grand Theft Auto VI.
However, with Rockstar Games announcing the GTA 6 release date as May 26, 2026, EA has decided to maintain Battlefield’s release schedule. Some images taken during the closed tests of the game, which have been running since March, have also leaked onto the internet.
These images reveal that the new Battlefield has returned to the theme of modern warfare and that some innovations that caused backlash in the previous game have been canceled. The traditional class system, mission-based game structure and more compact map designs are among the notable changes.
Details such as the game’s name and release date are expected to be clarified during the summer launch. So what do you think about this production? You can share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
