Citroen has launched the updated version of its electric Ami, designed for users seeking compact and environmentally friendly urban transportation solutions, in Turkey. First unveiled at the 2024 Paris Motor Show, the new Ami stands out with its design updates, while its technical infrastructure remains unchanged. Prices start from 499,900 TL in the Turkish market, and a Buggy version is also available.
New Citroen Ami Launches in Turkey
The most striking change in the exterior design of the refreshed Citroen Ami is the headlight design. The front fascia, featuring simpler and cleaner lines compared to the previous version, now has a more vertical and distinct structure. The new Citroen logo is featured on the sloping section below the windshield, which connects to a vertical surface downward, reinforcing the vehicle’s identity.
The headlights are now framed by black frames and designed to resemble eyelids. These two headlights are joined in the center by a raised, capsule-shaped piece. This design language, evoking a broad smile, further emphasizes the vehicle’s playful character.
The lower part of the front bumper is less rounded and features stronger lines. This design choice makes the vehicle more striking on the road and also enhances the perception of width.
The rear design, in line with the front, has been simplified and features more characteristic lines. New bumper details contribute to the Ami’s bolder and more distinctive stance, despite its small size.
The new Citroen Ami’s technical infrastructure remains unchanged. The vehicle is powered by a 6 kW electric motor. Offering a range of up to 75 kilometers with its 5.5 kWh battery pack, the Ami is designed for short-distance urban journeys.
The vehicle’s maximum speed is limited to 45 km/h. Legally classified as a quad bike, the Ami is permitted to be driven by users aged 16 and over with a B1 driving license.
The new Ami is available in Turkey with a list price of ₺539,900, including a cash discount of ₺499,900. A different-designed New Ami Buggy version is also available with a list price of ₺579,900, including a cash discount of ₺539,900.
