Citroen has officially introduced the long-awaited new generation C5 Aircross model. Developed under the roof of Stellantis, the model has one of the largest touchscreen multimedia displays in its segment.
New Citroen C5 Aircross unveiled
The new C5 Aircross carries Citroen’s most up-to-date design language. The design approach previously seen in the new C3, updated C4 and C4 X models is combined with sharp lines and increased aerodynamic lines in the new SUV model.

The dual-colour wheels can grow up to 20 inches in diameter. Measuring 4652 mm in length and 2784 mm in wheelbase, the model is 15 cm longer and 6 cm wider than its predecessor.
With a ground clearance of 200 mm, the new C5 Aircross offers a more spacious interior volume with increased leg and headroom for rear passengers. While the boot volume is announced as 651 litres, there is 75 litres under the boot floor and 40 litres of additional storage space in the cabin.
In the interior, the new living space concept called C-Zen Lounge draws attention. The vertical high-resolution multimedia screen connecting the front console and centre console will be the largest screen among the Stellantis brands.
The new C5 Aircross is built on Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform. This platform is shared with models such as Peugeot 3008/5008, Opel Grandland and DS 8. In addition to the electric version, mild hybrid and rechargeable hybrid options will also be offered.
The 100% electric Citroen C5 Aircross comes with two different engine options. The Standard Range version has a 154 kW (210 PS) engine and a 73 kWh NMC battery offering a range of up to 520 kilometres. The Long Range version is powered by a 169 kW engine with a range of up to 680 kilometres and carries a 97 kWh battery.
The entry-level mild hybrid version is called Hybrid 145. The 1.2-litre turbo three-cylinder engine produces 136 hp and is mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The top-level rechargeable hybrid version produces a total of 195 horsepower with the combination of a 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbo engine and an electric motor.
In addition, the Drive Assist 2.0 package, which includes Level 2 autonomous driving assistance systems, is also included. The new Citroen C5 Aircross will go on sale in Europe in the second half of 2025. Price information has not yet been announced.
