WhatsApp brings new features for Status updates. The popular messaging platform recently introduced an innovation that allows up to five people to be mentioned for Statuses. Now the platform is testing an option that allows you to tag entire groups.
WhatsApp’s new tested feature revealed
The remarkable new feature appeared in the 2.24.24.24.21 beta version released for Android. According to the information received, this function will work in a very simple way.
It will be enough to select a photo or video and add the group name to the tags for all users to be notified instantly. You can take a look at the screenshot of the new feature below.
When selecting a group for tagging, WhatsApp will not only notify the people who are part of the group, but will also automatically update their privacy settings.
WhatsApp will send reminder notifications for Statuses. Accordingly, users will be reminded of various people's posts.
So even if users have blocked a person in a group from seeing their Status, that person will be able to access the video or photo because they are part of that group.
For now, this feature is still under development. The new feature is accessible to a small number of users in the Android beta channel. Therefore, it is not yet known when the feature will come to the stable version.
