Google offers new experiences to users with innovations and increases the level of security. The blue tick, the verified sender feature, which was introduced last year and introduced in Gmail in the browser, is now coming to the Android and iOS application. With this feature, it will be clear whether the sender is verified in the Android and iOS Gmail application. Here are the details…
Blue tick will appear in Android and iOS Gmail app
The feature, also known as the Brand Indicators for Message Identification (BIMI) standard, shows brand logos in a round box to the left of the sender’s name and mail address. For example, when you receive an e-mail from a large company, the logo of the brand appears instead of the letter ‘X’.
With the feature added by Gmail, in addition to the BIMI standard, blue tick approved users will now be recognised. ‘BIMI adds another layer of security to Gmail by requiring strong authentication and verification of logos before they are displayed as avatars in Gmail,’ Google says.
This feature, which was introduced for the browser last year, is available in Gmail for Android and iOS after a long break. This check mark, which will appear between the logo and the date, will show users that they are e-mailing with the real logo owner.
In addition, while Google continues to use its power in artificial intelligence by integrating Gemini features into its applications, the company announced new models for Gemini with its statements today. You can also use these features on Gmail.
