The leading name in the electric vehicle world continues its infrastructure work in the Turkish market without slowing down. To eliminate range anxiety for users, the brand has strengthened its Tesla Supercharger station network with new locations in Istanbul.
Two New Tesla Supercharger Stations in Istanbul
The company has opened two new charging centers on routes heavily used by drivers in Istanbul. According to the announcement, these stations are located on Samandıra Street and Hoca Nasrettin Street. These areas, located opposite each other and named “North” and “South,” serve electric vehicle owners.
These new locations, housing a total of 16 different charging units, aim to reduce waiting times and facilitate charging access. The exact locations and capacities of the stations were also confirmed in posts made on Tesla’s official charging account.
The brand’s investments in Turkey are not limited to Istanbul alone. According to map data and official statements, preparations are underway for the installation of new Tesla Supercharger stations in busy locations in Izmir, such as Hilltown Shopping Mall and Balçova Kipa Shopping Mall. In addition, the company plans to commission new stations in strategic transit routes such as Samsun, İzmit (Outlet Shopping Mall), Turgutlu, and Keşan.
An exciting announcement came from Max De Zegher, Tesla’s head of charging infrastructure. In a statement on social media, Zegher indicated that they are in “Plaid mode,” signifying a very fast pace of work for their operations in Turkey. He announced that six new locations currently under construction, and a total of sixty new charging points, will soon be available to Turkish users.
