Volvo has introduced the refreshed version of its flagship model in the luxury saloon segment, the S90. The new Volvo S90 offers comprehensive improvements in design, technology and driving comfort. In this model, the Swedish manufacturer includes a very modern appearance and user-oriented interior details.
The new Volvo S90 has been officially announced
Simple but impressive lines stand out in the exterior design. The front and rear sections have been redesigned. Together with a futuristic front grille and aerodynamic lines, the overall appearance of the car has been given a fresh character.

Thor’s Hammer headlamps, Volvo’s characteristic headlamp design, are now thinner and extend to the grille. Equipped with Matrix LED technology, they provide optimised light distribution in different driving conditions.
The use of premium materials has been increased in the interior. Improved sound insulation and an adaptive suspension system have also become standard. The new 11.2-inch central display is the centrepiece of the infotainment system.
With its next-generation user interface, this system is fast and responsive. Thanks to over-the-air software updates, the vehicle can gain new functions or improve existing features over time.
The full technical details of the new S90 have not yet been shared. However, it is known that the rechargeable hybrid version offers an all-electric range of 80 kilometres according to WLTP tests. There will also be a front-wheel drive mild hybrid version powered by a four-cylinder turbo petrol engine.
The new S90 continues Volvo’s traditional approach to safety. Equipped with an advanced safety cage, the vehicle is comprehensively integrated with active safety systems. The highly anticipated vehicle will be available for order in the Chinese market in the summer. Later in the year, it will go on sale in other markets.
