Nintendo has officially announced that the pre-order period for its next-generation portable game console, the Switch 2, will begin on April 24, 2025. Previously scheduled to begin on April 9, pre-orders were postponed due to US global trade restrictions.

The official release date of the new console was announced as June 5, 2025. The standard model will be sold for $449.99. The special package that includes the Mario Kart World game is listed with a price tag of $499.99.

There has been no change in the prices of the games that will be sold with the console for now. Mario Kart World will meet users for $79.99, and Donkey Kong Bananza will meet users for $69.99.
There has been a noticeable increase in accessory prices. The Pro Controller has increased to $84.99, the Joy-Con 2 set has increased to $94.99, and the new Dock Set has increased to $119.99. Nintendo has not yet shared clear information about the console’s price in Turkey. However, CD Media, the device’s official distributor in Turkey, announced that price and pre-order details will be announced to the public soon.
The Nintendo Switch 2 is described as an improved version of the previous model. The product comes with a larger screen, a DLSS-supporting Nvidia APU, and new-generation Joy-Con controllers with a magnetic connection system.
