The gaming world is excited about the impending Nintendo Switch 2 reveal. Industry analysts believe the next-generation Nintendo console will be revealed on January 23. The first reveal is expected to focus on the console’s design and specifications rather than showcasing upcoming games.
Nintendo Switch 2 could be revealed on January 23
Nintendo’s potential launch actually seems interesting in terms of timing. The company, which will announce the Switch 2 right after CES 2025, also doesn’t want to clash with Microsoft’s Xbox Developer Direct event.
First of all, the Switch 2 comes with a larger screen than its predecessors. The new model’s screen size is 8.4 inches, which is considerably larger than the Switch OLED’s 7-inch screen and the original Switch’s 6.2-inch screen. This increase was made possible by the thinner bezels. The overall dimensions of the device are stated as 271 x 116.4 x 31.4 mm. In other words, it will have a larger body than its predecessor.
The upper part of the Switch 2 also draws attention with renewed details. In addition to the power and volume buttons, there is a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a USB-C port. Therefore, the device can be used comfortably on the table even while charging. In addition, a wider and more stable support stand has been offered.
The Switch 2 is expected to sell approximately 4.3 million units in the US alone by 2025. So what do you think about this console? You can share your opinions in the comments section below.
