Nintendo Switch 2 will be 10 times more powerful than its predecessor Switch in terms of graphic performance. According to the official statement made by Nvidia, this performance increase is not limited to hardware upgrades only, but also receives support from artificial intelligence-supported technologies.
Nintendo Switch 2 will be ambitious in terms of performance
The console will feature a new processor specially developed by Nvidia. This processor has RT (Ray Tracing) and Tensor cores, which are used for the first time in a handheld console. DLSS technology has also been integrated into a game console for the first time.

This technology; It increases performance and maximizes visual quality by enabling games to be processed in low resolution and displayed in high resolution. Thanks to DLSS, 4K image quality becomes possible in Switch 2, especially in docked mode. In handheld mode, the device supports up to 120 FPS at 1080p resolution.
The new generation Switch also has G-SYNC-based Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support. This feature promises a smoother experience by eliminating issues such as screen tearing when playing games in handheld mode.
Tensor cores provide AI-supported graphics processing and energy efficiency, while RT cores improve the quality of light, shadow and reflection in games in real time. We can say that Nintendo has taken the technical limits in the handheld console market one step further with its new device.
