Team Ninja announced the third installment of the Nioh series during Sony’s State of Play event. Nioh 3 will be released in 2026 on PlayStation 5 and PC platforms. The trailer maintains the dark Japanese atmosphere, highlighting giant demons and fast-paced combat scenes.
Nioh 3 will be arriving soon
Following the announcement, a playable demo exclusive to PS5 users was released. The demo will be available until June 18, allowing players to experience the game’s combat system and atmosphere firsthand.
Unlike previous games, Nioh 3 offers two distinct combat styles: Samurai and Ninja. With this new system, players can combine different gameplay dynamics. The Samurai style focuses on the series’ classic close-combat mechanics.
The Ninja style, on the other hand, features agile and quick moves, emphasizing dodging enemy attacks and aerial maneuvers. Players can switch between these two styles in real time to develop strategies depending on the situation.
There is also a significant change in gameplay structure. Team Ninja stated that the traditional level-based progression of previous games will be replaced by a freer system. While not fully open-world, Nioh 3 will feature an “open area” system that allows players more freedom to explore.
The game’s Steam page has also been published and is available for user preview. However, there is currently no Turkish subtitle or language support.
