Nissan is entering a new era in the electric vehicle market with its third-generation Leaf model. The new Leaf, which has gained a crossover form and has been comprehensively redesigned, has been revealed for the first time ahead of its official launch at the end of June.
Nissan will meet us with its new Leaf model
The new Leaf leaves the hatchback body structure of previous generations behind and steps into the crossover class. The fastback-style rear section, new LED headlights with sharp lines, 19-inch alloy wheels and active air flaps placed under the front bumper are among the main elements that form the design identity of the vehicle. The drag coefficient was measured as 0.25 Cd, which means that this value is the lowest drag production model that Nissan has developed to date.

The electrochromic panoramic glass roof integrated into the body is also among the prominent features of the model. This special glass eliminates the need for sun visors and is equipped with a reflective coating that optimizes the temperature balance in the interior.
The comfort and spaciousness in the interior is made possible thanks to the CMF-EV platform shared with Nissan’s Ariya model. The flat-floor structure offers both a spacious living space and increases ease of use.
The new generation Leaf will be produced only with a single engine and will not be offered as a four-wheel drive version. The range varies between 300 and 500 kilometers depending on the version selected. With the fast charging feature, the vehicle can gain a range of approximately 200 kilometers in 40 minutes. This feature aims to increase practicality in long-distance use.
All technical details of the vehicle will be announced at the global launch to be held on June 18. So what do you think about this subject? You can share your views with us in the comments section below.
