Rumors and leaks about the upcoming iPhone 15 family, which we expect Apple to release in the second week of September, continue to pour in. A recent rumor suggests that the classic color of the series will be discontinued with the iPhone 15.
There won’t be a Gold color in the iPhone 15 series, but two new colors are coming
Gold color has been particularly associated with the iPhone 6 series. You probably can envision an iPhone 6S Plus 32 GB in gold color. However, in recent years, especially after the iPhone X, the Gold color has ceased to be a highly preferred option.
Although Apple hasn’t sent out event invitations yet, tech enthusiasts and consumers eagerly await the announcement of the brand’s next smartphones, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro. While we have a fair idea of what to expect, today we received news that Apple will abandon one of its fundamental colors, Gold, and introduce a new gray color for the upcoming Pro models.
The upcoming iPhone 15 Pro models are said to come in a new “Titan Gray” color. While the name hasn’t been 100% confirmed, the source shared a concept of the color, and as you can see, it appears much lighter than the existing gray on the iPhone 14 Pro models.
In addition to the new color, it is reported that the upcoming Pro models will ditch the stainless steel frame and instead use Titanium. While this material could offer durability advantages due to being lighter and as strong as steel, its composition might result in a different appearance.
As for other details, the source also mentioned that Apple might move away from the traditional gold color with the new version and introduce a new dark blue color. The source also indicates that the traditional gray and silver colors will also be available.
Of course, at this point, nothing is confirmed, so we can only speculate. Fortunately, we’re just a few weeks away from September, and ultimately all our questions will be answered. What are your thoughts? Please remember to share your opinions in the comments.
