NotebookLM, Google’s AI-powered research assistant, continues to receive new updates that enhance the user experience. The company has now launched two key tools, previously added to the web version, as new NotebookLM mobile features.
NotebookLM mobile features gain ‘Flashcards’ and ‘Quizzes’
Google has now integrated the “Flashcards” and “Quizzes” features, which it added to its website in September, into its Android and iOS apps. This innovation brings learning and knowledge reinforcement directly to mobile devices.

The Flashcards feature automatically creates flashcards related to the content you upload, making it easier to memorize key information and key points. Quizzes, on the other hand, creates a quiz based on data in the file, making the learning process much more interactive and effective.
In addition to these mobile innovations, Google also recently made significant improvements to the NotebookLM chat infrastructure. Powered by the latest Gemini models, the system can now analyze much larger documents thanks to an expanded context window of 1 million tokens.
Conversations are now also automatically recorded, and users can personalize the system’s responses with instructions like “Treat me like a marketing strategist.”
